The motorised version of
the parachute makes it possible to travel some distance
and it is definitely the fastest way to become airborne,
no matter where you are.
Assembling a paramotor takes less than
ten minutes and you only need a few metres of open ground
to become airborne. And then you can set off on your travels!
Although its low flying speed and the amount of fuel you
can carry still limit how far you can travel, the sheer
flexibility and ease of

operation are wonderful!
You can take off in a conventional paramotor by running
along the ground and some models have a one-man or two-man
buggy attached .
